Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal information. Last updated: October 1, 2026.
1. Who we are
This website is run by DHL – Diaspora Hub for Leaders (“DHL”, “we”), a ministry for foreigners in Korea. If you have any question about your personal information, contact us at our email address.
2. What we collect
You can use most of this website without an account, and we don't collect your name or email when you do. When you create a member account, we collect:
- your name and email address;
- your password, stored only in scrambled (hashed) form that no one, including DHL, can read;
- the date you agreed to this policy, when you joined, and when you last logged in;
- your IP address when you log in, used only to protect accounts from password guessing and deleted after 7 days.
3. Why we use it
- to let you log in and open members-only lectures and files;
- to send you account emails: confirming your email address and resetting your password;
- to keep accounts secure and prevent misuse.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
4. Cookies and your device
When you log in, we set one cookie (DHLSESS) that keeps you logged in, for up to 30 days or until you log out. Your learning progress on this site (lessons and courses marked done, certificates) is saved only in your own browser, not on our servers.
5. Who else handles the information
- Namecheap hosts our members service and database, and stores the account information on our behalf.
- GitHub hosts the public pages of this website.
- YouTube (Google): when you play a lecture video, YouTube may collect information according to its own privacy policy. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
We don't give your personal information to anyone else, unless the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account information until you delete your account. Login records are deleted after 7 days. When an account is deleted, its information is removed from our database right away.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent, at any time. You can delete your account yourself on the My account page, or contact us and we'll do it for you.
8. Age
Member accounts are for people aged 14 and over. If you're younger, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us.
9. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, limits on login attempts, and access controls on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for important changes, ask you to agree again.
